Burke Lake
Where Scouting Adventures Begin

Match your Youth to a Program

Join us at an Invite Night

Get to Know Burke Lake District

Invite Nights!

With more than 70 units in the area, we have a place for every youth in scouting and the best way to find your match is to check out beascout.org and visit one of our Invite Nights.

1.

Explore the Scouting Program

Scouting America is home to several programs and it is important to match the age, grade, and spirit for adventure with your youth to find the best unit for their goals. From Eagle Scouts to Cub Scouts to Order of the Arrow to our Crew, STEM, Sea Scouts, and more, youth have a lot of options to get offline and get involved in the Greater Burke Lake community.

2.

Attend Invite Nights!
We'd love to meet you and learn about your Scouting goals.

At these events, adults in Scouting will share details about registration and ways to join the district-wide and local unit campouts and leadership programs. Youth will explore activities and meet new friends.

At a School-specific event, you will join other guests in meeting several scouting units. You can make a match for your family based on goals, activities, meeting timing, and friendships. This is a great way to see the variety and options and ask about district-wide and national efforts.

At a Unit-specific event, you will join other guests checking out one specific unit. This is a great way to experience your future "home unit" and ask more direct inquiries about how the unit matches your goals.

No events at the moment

With three decades in Scouting, I’ve seen how just one invitation can change the course of a young person’s life. Burke Lake District is about building futures, one Scout at a time.

Are you connected to a youth mental health and health leader in the community?

We know a digital world is making a dent in the mental health and wellness of our youth and community. Many clinicians regularly recommend physical activity, social engagement, and confidence-building activities to support healthy child development – but they may not know how to connect families to a solution, like getting involved in Scouting.

Kids thrive with Scouting.
